My 30-day creativity challenge for August: 15 minutes of sunlight

Since I’m an indoors kind of gal that really needs to unplug the laptop/smartphone/DVR, I’ve resolved to spend at least 15 minutes outside every day — walking, reading, weeding, eating, playing with the dogs, whatever (walking to and from my car doesn’t count). I’m guessing I’ll end up spending more than 15 minutes outside, but my goal forces me out of my comfy, air-conditioned abode every day.

What’s the connection with creativity?

Read my previous explainer here.

How did I start my challenge? By eating lunch on the underused Roanoke Times roof garden (video above).

Can you help me dream up more ways to use this space? Perhaps we add it to our conference room calendar as a legitimate meeting space (with the addition of comfortable patio furniture)? Use it for yoga? A gardening project? Kevin Myatt’s official weather station?
